      To Know God

Do I share blood with this amazing cousin? Thanks James for the cousin reunion via this creation of yours. God made a beautiful creative mind in you and you followed your Soul's thoughts to write this book. God finds avenues to express through and our "questions" or "doubts" are mostly Him breaking open doors for His voice. You said KNOW God and we will have answers. Amen. Jesus said "forgive them, they know not what they do." That was meant for ALL. No one excluded. That's my God of LOVE.

Hey Cousin! Thank you for reading the book and for your beautiful review. So great to reconnect over this. It sounds like we agree on a lot of things and also that we disagree on a central part of what I'm saying. My goal is not to convince anyone, but just to clarify what the Bible says about God's judgment. I DO believe that God "is not WISHING for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9) but that does not state that everyone WILL come to repentance. The Bible is pretty clear that many people will not repent (Revelation 9:20-21, 16:9+11) so I take from that, that if repentance is necessary for forgiveness, then not everyone will be forgiven.

I know that Jesus asked God the Father to forgive the people who were killing Him, but Jesus didn't always get what He asked God for. The clearest example was when He asked God if He could not be crucified. That was Jesus will. But He submitted His will to God the Father's will and went to the cross. "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done." (Luke 22:42)

This book is about how God will treat the people who do not repent of their sin fairly, as opposed to the traditional view we grew up with that He will torment them infinitely, without end. I respect your belief but wanted to clarify what I am saying. Love ya cousin!

(I will dive much deeper into why it makes sense for God to only forgive those who admit their need for forgiveness, in my next book "The Purpose of Evil" I will let you know as soon as it is out. I would love to hear your thoughts on that as well.)

Finally a book on Hell that’s honest, biblical, and makes me love God more, not just fear Him.

A Snowboarder’s Guide to the Afterlife is a courageous, Scripture-driven look at one of Christianity’s most difficult topics: Hell. The author examines every claim against the Bible itself, revealing a picture of God’s justice and mercy that is both challenging and refreshing.

It’s an honest study for anyone asking,“If God is love, how can He torture people forever?” This book offers thoughtful, well-researched answers that remind us we’re not just supposed to fear Him, we can love Him as well.

Josh! I am stoked that this is the message you got from the book. More than anything I want people to know that God is truly 'just' in His justice in a way that will actually satisfy our sense of justice one day as well.

Stacey, thank you for this review. Yes that is EXACTLY the message I am hoping people will take away from this book. God loves us more than we can imagine. But He is not a push-over . . . but neither is He is tyrant!

      Truth Bombs Explained

I feel fortunate to have read this incredible book. It’s not a quick read, but that’s expected, as it encourages deep thinking about life, death, and the afterlife—exploring the work of God, which is no simple matter. If you’re curious about what happens after we die, this book is your guide. It answered many of my questions and brought me closer to God.

I found the explanations accessible and enlightening. Thank you, James, and thank you, Jesus, for guiding him to write this book! Shalom Shalom
